Apple iPhone 5: Nothing Can Get Better Than This

iPhone 5 is the latest handset from Apple. Let's have a look at its major attributes:

Design:

Apple iPhone 5 comes with a beautiful design. Apple has used metal instead of glass. This results in a sturdy device. This device looks expensive.

4-inch display:

The 4-inch touchscreen is what makes this device different from other variants in the iPhone series. The enormous display makes it a perfect device to see films and other videos. In addition, users can view their images in the best quality possible. Also, surfing internet is a breeze.

8 MP snapper:

The integrated camera clicks pictures in the best quality possible. Even when the lighting conditions are poor, you get beautiful pictures. You can also shoot videos in HD quality. Video stabilization feature improves the quality of recorded videos.

Battery life:

This handset has a Li-Po 1440 mAh battery, which promises 8 hours of talk time on 2G networks. You can also listen to your favorite tracks for continuous 40 hours. This is quite average, and we want something better next time.

Operating system:

Apple has done a great job in this department. The iOS 6 operating system brings lots of new features. The home screen is same, but the bigger 4" display makes room for an extra row of icons. Even folders also come with an additional row of applications.

The settings menu is also improved. You also get several new wallpapers to choose from. Of course, you can also set your photographs as the wallpaper.

Memory space:

As expected, iPhone 5 comes in three different storage options. Sadly, it does not offer micro SD card slot. So, you should be very careful while choosing a variant.

Performance:

iPhone 5 comes with a new A6 chipset. This chip comprises of a custom-developed dual core processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz. It easily matches the power of other powerful devices in the smartphone market.

Apps market:

Apple owns one of the largest apps market on the planet. There are more than 700,000 applications in the apps market for devices running on iOS. Most developers prefer this operating system to release their apps.

Siri:

Siri is the most exhilarating attribute of iPhone 5. The attribute is still in testing stage. Still, we loved playing with it.

Audio quality:

The music player in the iPhone 5 is pretty good. You can make playlists; delete tracks directly from within the player. As it is an Apple smartphone, music output is excellent.

Connectivity:

You get all the essential connectivity features, such as HSPDA, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, etc. Apple has left no room for complaints.

Apple iPhone 5 Review and Features

The iPhone 5 is almost the same smartphone as the earlier iPhone 4s. It is thinner with a faster processor! This iconic phone just got a little better, its much more refined due to the trending larger front screen and thinner profile. As an iPhone user I was curious to see how the new iPhone 5 measured up to the older version. How can this new generation iPhone become even better and faster in only a short period of time? Can the fine people at Apple create something visionary or will they continue to bring us the same old thing dressed up with a few extra features? This was a huge challenge to conquer. The iPhone 5 is a much better phone from the bottom upwards. Instead of reviewing this new iPhone model I think it makes sense to give you my honest opinion from an actual customer.

First of all the one thing you will notice right away is how light the phone is. Almost 20% lighter with a much larger surface area, which makes it feel even more lighter. This iPhone 5 doesn't feel cheap at all it takes us back to the original days of the metal back. It has changed in a number of ways such as screen size, layout of the charging connector, distance between the ear piece and display at the bottom. Instead of a glass back it is now made up of aluminum, just like the mac pro! It is much more solid and you can feel the quality of craftmanship built into this devise.

The headphone jack used to be on top of the iPhone but in the new iPhone 5 it is moved to the bottom. I'm not sure if that actually made sense because now if you place the phone on a cup holder in the car it will have to be upside down but as you pick it up it will be easier to use right away. The new configuration had something to do more with the actual internal parts and how they fit the previous design. Apple was able to make this new model thinner just by moving this accessory. Another major change is the new connector. It's called the lightning and it's very small and reversible. It is more solid and won't break as often. These two changes enabled Apple to make the iPhone 5 thinner.

An adapter is available from Apple to add to make your existing cable into an extension to fit the new iPhone 5. They cost $30 and are available soon.

The last changes are the new nano sim card slot, that introduces a new sim card again. Upgraded speakers and microphones are added to the changes as well. Crystal clear speakers are clear and undistorted. They have 3 microphones to help with video recording and noise cancellation.

As far as I'm concerned, this new iPhone 5 is almost twice as fast as its previous models and it the difference is immediate and pronounced. Using the web it launches instantly, saving pictures are instantaneous as well, this adds to an overall better experience. A new LTE network adds to the speed of the new iPhone 5. Panoramic photos can be taken now and a better motion stabilizer when taking 1080p video.

This new iPhone is more than just numbers and specifications, it is everything that embodies the Apple brand. It represents the best of the best in features and materials which justifies it's top place as the leader in the new generation of smartphones.

Google Readying New Nexus Mobile Phones - Apple Fights Back With Massive New Product Launch

Talk of the town in mobile-technology industry for past several months has been "Will they or won't they?" situation surrounding the iPad Mini. Ever since the idea of a smaller iPad was first debunked by co-founder Steve Jobs in 2010, the world has been dying to find out whether or not the Cupertino collective was bluffing. Well, recently Apple seemed to confirm that they were; as despite no new mobile phones making an appearance, the iPad Mini was officially born!

... and it certainly didn't come to the party alone.

Strength in Numbers

The arrival of the iPad Mini has come to be expected with the same level of certainty as the sun rising in the morning. The incredible success stories of the Amazon Kindle Fire and the Google Nexus 7 had made the iPad Mini inevitable; therefore, its appearance recently was not exactly a surprise.

What was a surprise, however, was the way Apple decided to up the ante considerably by throwing all manner of goodies into the affray, stopping just short of including the kitchen sink. Along with the iPad Mini, the world was also introduced to the slightly more-affordable 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro, new Mac Minis and perhaps most surprising of all, a brand-new iPad 4.

Apple is long known to reveal and unleash new iPads closer to the springtime, so what exactly is their game here? Why launch so many products at once that could steal attention from each other? Possibly could it be to make the most of the Christmas buying season?

Perhaps in part, but more likely the answer is an attempt to thwart the chances of Google and Microsoft thus stealing their thunder.

Google Nexus

While nothing is yet confirmed, rumor has it that Google's press event next Monday will herald the introduction of the all-new Google Nexus 10 tablet, which has a spec and feature list mighty enough to dethrone the iPad. In addition, the event is also scheduled to include the debut of the very first LG Nexus series of mobile phones, which again packs a wallop sizable enough to knock the iPhone 5 off its pedestal.

Given the fact that we already knew most of this, chances are the folks at Apple were way ahead of us all along and have thus acted accordingly. There's nothing like drawing attention away from a rival's latest and greatest product launch with one or two of your own - never mind the half a dozen or so Apple has thrown into the mix.

Microsoft Surface

Now here comes the Microsoft Surface Tablet as well, which has had the mother of all marketing campaigns thrown behind it and looks set to take the world by storm. While hitting the market as a very different animal than the iPad, the Surface Tablet nonetheless is gunning for the same market and stands a very good chance.

That is of course, unless Apple's tactics pay off and most have already forgotten about their rival brands and their upcoming products launches, which is doubtful to say the least.

Learn about how the big guns of communication industry trying to baffle each other out with their mobile phones, tablets and pads. See how Google vows to give a tough time to big names like Microsoft and Apple. With so many competitors in mobile phones and Tablet PC industry, it is quite interesting to see how things turn out to be.
